HISTORY

Silver Glade Stables started small, with only a handful of staff, and more people than there were horses. The thoroughbred portion began as a small string of racing horses, owned by Diana Black. Her stable was called Black Thoroughbred Park, but when she met Alexander O'Connell in 1987, her stable merged with Silver Glade, and his Dutch Warmbloods were added to the string of race horses. Their two daughters, Hannah and Jasmine, and their son Logan, are heirs to the estate.

The program to breed the ultimate athlete has expanded since it was started, and now Silver Glade Stables is a premium thoroughbred breeding, training, and racing farm. Our horses have been racing, winning, and producing other top horses for quite some time now.
