Silver Glade has an entirely new footing to our largest dirt track in New York, on which mock-races are typically run on.

 

"Our youngest horses have always been provided with the best care available, and what they run on is no exception to that." Reported Sarah Yunker, lead trainer at the racing farm, which recently opened up a Summer location in Florida, where horses two years and older are flown to continue training when Saratoga closes its track for the winter. Come mid-spring however, most of the Silver Glade thoroughbreds will return to their home track with Yunker and the rest of the staff, where they will test the new footing on the practice track.

 

"We are all incredibly excited for our horses to be running on such a high-quality surface, and we hope to open the training track to future partners so that our horses can experience running with horses other than just their stablemates."
